The elements of a child's identity required by law are shown on the relevant forms, annexed hereto, and are as follows:

  • With regard to the agenda item on implications of amending the Instrument for the Establishment of the Restructured Global Environment Facility to reflect the designation of the GEF as a financial mechanism of the Convention, the GEF Council reviewed the legal, operational and financial implications of the proposed amendment and agreed to recommend to the fourth GEF Assembly that the Instrument be amended by adding a new paragraph 7, to read: “The GEF shall be available to serve as a financial mechanism of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification in Countries Experiencing Serious Drought and/or Desertification, particularly in Africa (UNCCD), pursuant to article 20, paragraph 2(b), and article 21 of the Convention.
    وفيما يتعلق ببند جدول الأعمال الذي يتناول الآثار المترتبة على تعديل الصك المنشئ لمرفق البيئة العالمية المعاد تنظيمه لكي يعكس تعيين مرفق البيئة العالمية كآلية لتمويل الاتفاقية، فقد استعرض مجلس مرفق البيئة العالمية الآثار القانونية والتشغيلية والمالية المترتبة على التعديل المقترح ووافق على توصية الجمعية الرابعة لمرفق البيئة العالمية بتعديل الصك وذلك بإضافة فقرة 7 جديدة، نصها كالآتي: "يكون مرفق البيئة العالمية الآلية المالية لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر في البلدان التي تعاني من الجفاف الشديد و/أو من التصحر وبخاصة في أفريقيا، عملاً بالفقرة 2(ب) من المادة 20 والمادة 21 من الاتفاقية.
